Overview:

Steelworx Industrial Group, LLC. is looking for a highly motivated Production Supervisor to join their industrial client's team.

Our company is a leader in food production, committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Supervisor to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient production processes and maintaining a positive work environment.

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficient labor utilization. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:

• Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders.
• Ensure every position is filled before the start-up of the production line.
• Oversee Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomics.
• Ensure all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible.
• Ensure all workstations have passed USDA Inspection.

Safety and Quality:

• Promote safety daily and conduct monthly safety meetings.
• Ensure accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.
• Provide encouragement to Team Members to build the best team possible.
• Perform human relations functions, including training, retaining, and counseling on professional problems.

Processing Operations:

• Oversee various processing operations and work with other supervisors to solve problems.
• Keep records of reworked or returned products.
• Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.

Staffing and Performance:

• Report staffing, morale, work methods, and procedure problems to the department manager.
• Supervise and direct work in the department to ensure efficient labor utilization.
• Prepare work schedules, monitor and record employee attendance and performance.
• Prepare and approve employee time records, prepare daily accounting reports related to production.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Identify equipment problems and schedule repairs with Maintenance personnel.

Efficiency and Accountability:

• Maintain optimum line speeds, efficient crewing, and proficient yields.
• Maintain accountabilities for all variances.

Safety Leadership:

• Act as a leader in safety promotion and awareness.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• 1+ years in a manufacturing environment, with prior supervisory experience preferred.

Communication Skills:

• Strong communication skills.
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish.

Computer Skills:

• Basic computer skills are helpful.

Supervisory:

• Responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
