Position Overview

The County of San Mateo's Emergency Medical Services Agency seeks a motivated candidate with expertise in Public Health and Emergency Preparedness. The role involves program planning, technical assistance, review, and evaluation of community service delivery programs. The analyst will act as a liaison with service providers, ensure compliance, monitor contracts, and perform related duties.

Location: South San Francisco, CA. The position requires travel, occasional on-call work, and response to Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activations, including nights and weekends.

Primary Duties

  1. Plan, coordinate, and implement public health emergency preparedness activities.
  2. Develop, review, and update emergency response plans and procedures.
  3. Engage with stakeholders and represent the program at meetings and workgroups.
  4. Ensure activities align with response guidance and regulations.
  5. Assess training needs and deliver preparedness training and exercises.
  6. Design and evaluate emergency response exercises following HSEEP guidance.
  7. Contribute to strategic planning and projects.
  8. Participate in emergency response activities as needed.
  9. Manage administrative, budgeting, and reporting activities.
  10. Conduct research on grants, contracts, and operational alternatives.
  11. Perform other related duties.
