Primary Responsibilities

Health Education

  • Develop tailored one-on-one health coaching to individuals around their stated health goals primarily via phone, email, video, and in person.
  • Partner with members to co-create action plans and SMART goals to meet their health needs,
  • monitoring and providing accountability to progress in achieving their goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all coaching encounters.
  • Conduct regular outreach to drive patient engagement, including follow-up calls to discuss health, assessment results, and participation in biometric screening events, employee health fairs, lunch and learns, and monthly webinars as needed.

Health Promotion

  • Assist in the development of ongoing health promotion, including classes, webinars, promotional tools, marketing, and corporate competitions.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Develop strong working relationships and communication with stakeholders (the client and partner).
  • Collaborate with those stakeholders to develop a plan to promote participation in onsite coaching and other well-being events and campaigns.
  • Send out regular surveys to track and measure coaching and wellbeing event effectiveness, identify any program gaps, and align with client goals.

  • Additional functions and responsibilities, as necessary.


Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Trained in coaching competencies, theories, and methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in health-related field (master's degree preferred)
  • NBC-HWC (preferred or obtain within 18 months of hire)
  • Must have experience with clinical health education, weight loss management, nutrition, tobacco cessation, stress management, physical activity, etc.
  • Must have a great understanding of various biometric results including and not limited to blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, BF/BMI, etc.
  • Experience speaking in front of live and remote Audiences for an extended period.
  • Experience in planning, developing, and designing health education presentations and programs.
  • Ability to be creative and innovative in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to speak, demonstrate, and operate remote viewing technology simultaneously.
  • Proficient in navigating and working across multiple computer platforms and systems simultaneously.
  • Preferred language proficiency: Primary fluency or bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred. The ability to read, write, and speak both languages interchangeably enhances the Health Educator's capacity to develop member goals, conduct public presentations, and hold one-on-one health coaching sessions in either language.


This is a full-time, salaried role. This is a hybrid role, generally remote, with occasional onsite work at various client locations. The ideal candidate lives in the Pacific time zone within the continental United States. A quiet and private workspace is required with fast, reliable internet service.
