Job Description

This position requires daily travel to locations in and around the Midland and West Texas area, including the airport.

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction.
  • Installs, repairs, and maintains equipment in the field; provides customer training as required.
  • Documents all inspections, maintenance, and repair work; submits paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Orders, installs, and returns parts; manages the repair parts cycle time.
  • Reviews logs for open issues and prepares reports for customers as necessary.
  • Participates in service sales opportunities and promotes revenue programs.
  • Ensures tools and test equipment are maintained and calibrated.
  • Assesses product/equipment performance; recommends modifications or improvements.
  • Provides technical support to customers and service professionals as required.
  • May participate in site surveys, pilot programs, and meetings.
  • Possesses basic technical knowledge of the company's Trace and X-Ray technologies.
  • Maintains clear and concise communication, both oral and written.
  • Establishes relationships with senior FSEs and Product Managers to support customer needs and stay updated on technical trends.
  • Controls and minimizes costs through available measures.
  • Travel, overtime, and work hours outside Monday-Friday may be required.
  • Complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Follows all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education/Training: Associate's Degree, related trade certification, or military training in electrical, electronic, or mechanical fields. Equivalent work and life experience (1-3 years) in electrical or mechanical field service roles. Computer literacy and aptitude for learning specialized software.

Experience: 1-3 years in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.

Knowledge/Skills: Excellent communication skills, customer focus, teamwork, responsiveness, and willingness to travel at short notice.

Additional Requirements

  • May require supervision of others on a project basis.
  • Requires Sensitive Security Information (SSI) access and passing TSA background checks.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service, stress management, self-motivation, reliability, and accountability.
  • Telephone skills; ability to lift/carry 80 lbs., push/pull 200 lbs., and manipulate heavy equipment with assistance.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and working in unusual positions and extreme environments.

Work Environment

Typically at customer locations such as airports, correctional facilities, courthouses, cruise ships, or other sites.

This role may require SSI access, a U.S. Personal Security Clearance, and adherence to safety policies.
