Responsibilities

1. Lead planning, designing, development, and testing of software systems or applications, including cloud-based or internet-related tools.
2. Guide team members on best practices and support client project objectives.
3. Incorporate automated tests and mentor team members on automation strategies.
4. Lead brainstorming sessions, propose innovative ideas, and identify opportunities for proof-of-concepts.
5. Consider scalability, maintainability, and high-level design of solutions.
6. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
7. Assist in technology and tool selection.
8. Design code aligned with service architecture and stay updated on industry developments.
9. Understand data models and facilitate communication within and outside the team.
10. Focus on automated testing, code quality, and best practices.
11. Support strategic launch and release planning, and promote cross-team collaboration.
12. Manage system hygiene, code reviews, and software dependencies.
13. Demonstrate technical mastery across multiple languages, frameworks, and tools.
14. Uphold high standards of code quality and drive technical excellence.
15. Develop personal and team continuous learning plans, mentor junior members, and complete complex tickets independently.
16. Proficiently handle ETL processes, data modeling, and data integration techniques.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field + 5+ years of experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with React.
• Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM and TDD methodologies.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and collaborating cross-functionally.
