Our Opportunity

The selected individual will perform the following duties:

  1. Prepare original manufacturing process instruction sheets and outlines. Plan manufacturing phases and process steps necessary for fabrication, including repair, rework, and revision of products, in accordance with specifications. Complete planning documents to ensure economical and efficient production.
  1. Develop visual aid work instructions and lean processes. Study existing production methods for improvements and communicate findings with senior management.
  1. Troubleshoot manufacturing processes. Act as liaison between Engineering/NC Programming/Manufacturing/Management.
  2. Analyze engineering design releases, customer processes, quality specifications, and related documentation; develop traveler and process sheets detailing operations, raw materials, tooling, tolerances, setup and run times, inspection points, and other manufacturing features. Incorporate engineering change orders and planning revisions; prepare rework plans.
  1. Prepare planning drafts, check documents for accuracy, and route planning and supplemental documents.
  1. Develop cost estimates for new projects, from simple to complex assemblies, including multi-level bills of materials.
  1. Compile information to cost components and assemblies, including bills of material, routings, raw material specs, vendor services, material costs, production rates, tooling, fixtures, and packaging.
  1. Serve as SPC Coordinator.
  1. Serve as Tooling Coordinator.
  1. Serve as FOD Coordinator.

Job Requirements

Minimum five (5) years of planning experience in manufacturing, preferably with a metal fabrication and machining background.

Additional Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in interpreting complex engineering drawings.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials such as stainless steel, nickel, titanium, aluminum, etc.
  • Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes including assembly, welding, machining, forming, inspection, cleaning, and heat-treating.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, Excel, and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of CATIA software.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or relevant experience.

Physical requirements include walking, sitting, using hands for fine tasks, talking, hearing, standing, reaching, and lifting/moving up to 10 pounds. Must be a United States (US) Person as defined by ITAR regulations.
