We're searching for a Director of Sales who is motivated to help our busy hotel meet its sales targets. You will be in charge of developing our sales strategy and revenue objectives, training and assessing our sales employees, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business across various hotel sectors.Our ideal applicant is a sales professional with 5+ years of experience, a leader, a problem-solver, and a team player. This is a bonus-eligible position.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate information gathered from market data and create a plan to meet marketing deliverables, hotel financial goals, and develop an annual sales forecast.Create methods to help the sales team reach and surpass monthly room booking targets aligned with the hotel's overall revenue management goals.Generate new revenue through targeted outbound sales strategies, including personal calls within your network, phone solicitation to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups or corporations.Develop and implement sales strategies that maintain high occupancy and profitability by coordinating with department managers.Deliver weekly sales activity reports and monthly sales expense reports, and meet with department managers to keep them updated on all hotel sales-related expenses.QualificationsExcellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.Prior hospitality experience is preferred but not required.5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.A proven track record of sales success through lead generation and closing.Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000 yearlyAbout Holiday Inn ReddingOur Redding Hotel is located near the Shasta Cascade Region.The Holiday Inn Hotel and Convention Center Redding is centrally located within Shasta County, close to businesses and attractions, making it ideal for both corporate and leisure travelers.
