My client is looking for an entry-level Food R&D Coordinator to join their team.

Description
1. Raw Material Sample Coordinator
Serve as the primary point of contact for all raw material sample requests
Ensure all samples are routed through proper channels before entering the lab or sample room
Maintain accurate sample logs in SharePoint and organize physical samples within the sample room
Distribute a weekly report of all samples received
Ensure sample areas are clean and organized at the end of each day
Dispose of expired samples on a quarterly basis and reorder replacements as needed
2. Raw Material Setup & Documentation
Manage and maintain the card wall system for material tracking
Request preliminary documentation and store it in the shared drive
Coordinate with Operations to obtain new item codes
Enter raw material data into Flavor Studio (nutritionals), SharePoint (sample logs, regulatory information, p/cal data, and pricing), and TraceGains (documentation)
3. TraceGains Management
Handle all connection requests and documentation approvals in TraceGains
Monitor and maintain current supplier documentation to ensure compliance and completeness
4. Database Tools Ownership
Maintain and update the Excel-based p/cal calculator linked to formula tables
Oversee regulatory and pricing preview tools used by internal stakeholders
5. Formula & Specification Document Management
Ensure all R&D formulas and specifications are accurately completed and shared with co-manufacturers
Support recurring documentation tasks, such as packing information entry and formula revisions
6. Artwork Review
Review product artwork to verify accuracy and compliance with regulatory and branding standards
Profile
This role is fully on-site. Any potential candidates must be in or willing to relocate to the West LA area
