Do you have an interest in working with a Public Service agency by assisting departments that protect and serve our community?
Are you looking to start an exciting, meaningful, and rewarding career?
Come join our team at the County of Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office with the chance to Make a Difference!
Candidates may be hired at the I or II level depending on their qualifications and the department's needs. Employees hired at the FOP I level can progress to FOP II after completing required training, meeting qualifications, and demonstrating satisfactory performance, typically within one year.
The FOP I position is a gateway to the County's advanced financial career path, allowing growth to FOP II and Senior roles as experience increases.
This entry-level fiscal role involves accounting, budgeting, and financial management procedures, along with fiscal record keeping, clerical tasks, and more, depending on department needs.
We are accepting applications to establish an employment list for current and future vacancies in the Sheriff's Office, and potentially the Probation Department. The list will be used to fill positions at various locations throughout Santa Barbara County, and candidates must be willing to accept any assignment.
