POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager will support the planning, coordination, and execution of product innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the organization. This role will assist in managing project timelines, resources, cross-functional communication, and process optimization efforts aligned with business objectives.

  • Project Coordination: Assist in the execution of product innovation and transformation initiatives by coordinating timelines, tracking milestones, and facilitating communication between stakeholders.
  • Process Support: Support new product development (NPD) processes including documentation, feasibility assessment, and FCR (Feasibility and Cost Reply) workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with Supply Chain, Technical, Demand Planning, and Sales teams to ensure alignment across project phases, including collaboration for both domestic and international initiatives.
  • Data & Reporting: Maintain project dashboards, prepare project status reports, and track KPIs to support decision-making by senior leadership.
  • System Support: Aid in optimizing tools and platforms used in project execution (e.g. Smartsheet, ERP/SAP Software, Microsoft Office, OneNote, etc.).
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in lean initiatives, process optimization, and change management activities under the guidance of the Director.
  • Administrative Duties: Support training coordination, meeting facilitation, and document control for PMO activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCES

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline is required. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA or MS) are a plus, but not required.
  • Supply Chain Experience in the Food/CPG industry: 5 + years of experience in supply chain function/role with a CPG manufacturer. Food/supplement manufacturing industry experience highly preferred.
  • New Product Project Management Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience supporting or managing new product development (NPD) or innovation projects.
  • OEM and contract manufacturing experience: Exposure to or working knowledge of OEM or contract manufacturing processes preferred. Direct experience collaborating with third-party manufacturers is a plus.
  • Continuous Improvement project experience: Familiarity with continuous improvement or Lean project environments preferred. Experience with Six Sigma methodologies is a bonus but not required.
  • International and Cross-Departmental Collaboration Experience: Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders. Experience collaborating across departments or regions is preferred.
  • Familiarity with New Product Innovation Processes: Basic understanding of new product development or innovation workflows (e.g. Stage Gate). Experience supporting product lifecycle activities from conceptual to launch is beneficial.
  • Portfolio & Project Management Software & AI Tools: Experience with implementation and use of various portfolio and project management systems (e.g. Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams). Also, AI tools and technology used to improve project efficiency and reporting.
  • Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel 5% for site visits or project meetings, as needed.

Additional Certifications (Beneficial):

  • Project Management Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) or other project management certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Supply Chain Management Certification: Certifications like APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or other supply chain-related credentials are a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • The individual must possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English. Chinese language skills preferred but not required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • The individual must apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
