Artemis CoPack is a vertically-integrated cannabis company located in Lower Lake, CA. Maintaining cultivation, processing, manufacturing, and cultivation licenses, we are looking to expand our team by brining on a Processing Manager for the 2025 harvest season.

Title: Processing Manager

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000

Hours: Full-time

Reports to: VP of Operations

Job Overview

The Processing Manager plays an integral role in the overall production process by ensuring the goals for both drying and processing teams are being met. This individual will primarily oversee the departments that handle post-harvest activities, including drying, bucking, trimming, and packaging. This role requires an individual with strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to delegate and oversee tasks to teams with a diverse range of responsibilities. Being proficient in Spanish is required, as periodic management of FLC labor will be necessary. The ideal candidate will also have a strong aptitude for data entry and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day activities of the drying and packaging teams, including coordinating FLC labor when necessary
• Operate, train, and guide facility personnel to success on the processing equipment while maintaining a safe working environment
• Responsible for ensuring an adequate level of performance, discipline, and productivity of employees
• Report and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
• Collaborate with leadership to develop practical, but attainable KPIs for each department
• Ensure strict adherence to local, state, and federal regulatory guidelines for operating in a licensed cannabis facility
• Facilitate proper traceability of all products throughout the facility in METRC
• Work with Management to develop or revise SOPs to ensure adherence with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older (as per legal requirements)
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a must
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and Live Scan FBI database search
• Minimum of a high school diploma
• 2-5 years supervisory/leadership experience, with 2+ years of production experience
• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter, including drying, environmental controls, . Prior cannabis experience is strongly recommended
• Experience operating automated trimming (Mobius) and packaging equipment (Greenvault) a plus
• Ability to manage and direct multiple teams with varying responsibilities
• Proficiency with data entry, Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), with a minimum of typing speed of 40 wpm
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment
• METRC experience strongly preferred
• Highly motivated with a self-starter mindset
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and twist for prolonged periods of time
• Comfortable working with cannabis products and working in an environment with high amounts of airborne particulate
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
