Job Title: Veterinary Practice Manager
Location: The Melrose Vet – West Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA

Join a high-performance veterinary team in the heart of West Hollywood.
The Melrose Vet is a dynamic, multi-doctor practice seeking a Veterinary Practice Manager with the leadership skills to take full operational control, enforce expectations, and help scale the business for continued growth. This is a pivotal role requiring someone who commands respect, thrives in high-pressure environments, and brings professionalism, experience, and loyalty to the table.

Preferred Qualifications:


Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) or equivalent leadership credential


RVT experience or a strong background in veterinary medical operations


Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in healthcare or business preferred


5+ years in veterinary management roles


Proven experience scaling or growing veterinary practices

Core Responsibilities:

Implement leadership directives: Carry out ownership's vision and operational strategies effectively.


Lead decisively: Set the tone for professionalism. Enforce clinic policies and hold all team members—front desk, technicians, and DVMs—accountable to their roles.


Recruit and retain talent: Own the hiring process. Source, vet, and secure top-tier veterinarians, technicians, and support staff capable of performing in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.


Optimize operations: Create efficient, cost-effective scheduling. Minimize overtime and overhead. Ensure every shift is fully staffed, productive, and on budget.


Support and empower DVMs: Monitor doctor performance and ensure each is working at their full capacity. Identify gaps and implement solutions proactively.


Drive growth and profitability: Collaborate with ownership to meet key performance targets. Understand practice financials (including P&L), revenue per DVM, and marketing and outreach strategies. Identify inefficiencies and optimize for growth without compromising client and patient care.


Communicate clearly: Lead staff meetings, provide written updates, and address all issues promptly with no ambiguity or excuses.


Protect our brand: Maintain a luxury-level client experience consistent with our West Hollywood clientele. Oversee client feedback, online reviews, and professional reputation management.


Ensure compliance: Uphold labor laws and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate HR and medical documentation across the team.


Build a strong culture: Lead by example. Promote accountability, professionalism, and a cohesive, purpose-driven work environment.

What We Offer:

Salary: $75,000–$125,000 per year (commensurate with experience and qualifications), with potential for performance-based bonuses
