Role: Data Base and Imaging Engineer
Responsibilities:

• 
  Lead the development of a scalable image data infrastructure to support automated upload, storage, tagging, and indexing of image data from camera validation activities.
• 
  Build and maintain camera image capture workflows, including scripting for control and calibration of camera modules in lab environments.
• 
  Collaborate with validation engineers to define and implement standardized metadata schemas for consistent tagging across datasets (e.g., module identifiers, scene types, capture conditions, lighting setups).
• 
  Design and implement backend pipelines that integrate with internal data platforms for efficient storage and querying of large image datasets.
• 
  Develop APIs and internal tools that enable engineers to retrieve filtered image datasets based on specific criteria such as use case, environment, or hardware configuration.
• 
  Validate and troubleshoot image capture systems, ensuring consistent performance across different modules and setups.
• 
  Manage the long-term lifecycle of image data, including archival, deduplication, version control, and traceability.
• 
  Ensure all processes comply with internal data governance, privacy, and retention policies.
  

• 
  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Imaging Science, or a related field.
• 
  3+ years of experience in camera hardware development, image capture workflows, or integrating software with hardware.
• 
  Strong understanding of camera systems, image sensors, optics, and ISP (Image Signal Processing) pipelines.
• 
  Proficiency in Python and experience with image capture and device control tools (e.g., OpenCV, vendor SDKs).
• 
  Experience with database technologies and data pipeline development (e.g., SQL, Spark, Hive, Airflow).
• 
  Familiarity with managing large-scale image datasets, including metadata handling and image storage optimization.
  

• 
  Experience working with camera validation or automated test frameworks.
• 
  Strong cross-platform debugging and scripting experience (Windows, Linux).
• 
  Familiarity with lab test setups, including lighting environments and chart-based testing.
• 
  Effective problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
