Make introductions and establish rapport with patients. Initiate patient evaluation, documenting the chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, and all pertinent ocular findings accurately and in accordance with compliance guidelines. Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physician, and other procedures. Communicates with patients regarding follow up care, surgeries, procedures, changes in schedule, signs and symptoms, surgery schedules. Maintains and cleans all ophthalmic equipment being used. Ability to document and apply correct ICD-10 and CPT Codes. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail. Effectively navigate NextGen software or applicable EHR - Complete requests for prescription refills as authorized by physician, with full documentation in patient chart.
