Position Information

The Strategic Project Manager serves as a key partner to the Vice Chancellor of Planning, Budget & Administration (VCPBA), ensuring that institutional priorities, special initiatives, and cross-divisional projects are effectively advanced. This position supports planning, communication and coordination functions across the VCPBA organization that includes FP&A, Facilities, Business & Financial Services, Planning Design & Construction, Auxiliary Services, EH&S – Risk Services, Real Estate Services & Institutional Research. The successful candidate will be an organized communicator who can distill complexity, develop executive-level materials, and help move important projects forward in a timely structured way. The full salary range for the Strategic Project Manager is $103,100 - $196,300 per year. However, the expected pay scale for this position is from $103,100 - $150,000 per year. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Position Information

The full salary range for the Strategic Project Manager is $103,100 - $196,300 per year. However, the expected pay scale for this position is from $103,100 - $150,000 per year.   • Ability to distill complexity, develop executive-level materials and help move important projects forward in a timely and structured way.
  • Ability to work and lead with political acumen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of departmental processes, protocols and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of the University of California system.
