Tax & Accounting Manager - Redding, CA | GPAC
GPAC is currently partnering with a growing and dynamic firm in Redding, CA, seeking a dedicated and experienced Tax & Accounting Manager to join their team. This opportunity is perfect for a professional who excels in client service, decision-making, and leadership within a collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage tax compliance and consulting projects for a diverse client base.
- Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns, including corporate, partnership, individual, and trust filings.
- Provide expert guidance on federal, state, and local tax matters.
- Oversee monthly financial reporting, bookkeeping, and general ledger maintenance.
- Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to deliver strategic tax planning solutions.
- Mentor and develop junior staff members.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in tax compliance and accounting, preferably in a public accounting or professional services environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Excellent client service skills with a professional and approachable demeanor.
- Demonstrated leadership, decision-making skills, and ability to foster a positive team environment.
- Commitment to stability and long-term career growth.
- CPA certification preferred or in progress.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, tax software, and accounting platforms such as QuickBooks.
