Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 DOE

Job Description

• Directs, develops, and oversees the general health and safety policies and procedures of the organization. Work closely with department heads, plant managers, and the executive team to ensures the workplace is in compliance with OSHA and other state, local, or industry specific regulations and that periodic safety audits are conducted. Provides programs that ensure a safe workplace including safety orientations, skill training, emergency preparedness, proper job instruction, and the use of protective equipment. Develops a systemic process to collect data and analyze the causes of accidents and generate required reporting. Implements initiatives to reduce and prevent accidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards. Develop and manage company wide safety budget. Work with other team leaders to monitor and control workers compensation claims. Analyze injuries, incidents, and “close calls” to prevent site specific and company wide re-occurrence. Reports directly to top management.

Job Requirements

• Must have the ability to travel to all 10 facilities nationwide on a regular basis.
• Extensive experience with lock-out/tag-out policies, trainings and implementation.
• Extensive experience with forklift operation policies, trainings and implementation.
• Ability to autonomously work on workers' compensation matters with insurance adjusters.
• Extensive working knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, interpretations, and application specific to Consumer Products manufacturing.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Strong management, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
• Able to work independently and manage own duties without excessive oversight.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 Years safety experience.
• OSHA 30 certification
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
• Safety experience in consumer products manufacturing preferred.
• HACCP team experience preferred.
• Food safety experience preferred.
• Hearing conservation program experience preferred.
