Compensation: Starting salary range $70,000 - $125,000; Commensurate to Skills and Experience.

Hours: Full-time Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

The Company designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas renewable energy generation systems, primarily on dairy farms. Position Description
Maas Energy Works (MEW) is seeking a Procurement Manager who will lead the centralization and optimization of our procurement systems & processes across the company, with the goal of increasing savings and optimizing our vendor relationships. This role requires someone who is a strategic thinker with hands-on experience implementing a procurement platform, fine tuning processes, building vendor relationships, and overseeing multi-departmental procurement activities.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing a cross-departmental procurement strategy, managing vendor performance, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials. This includes specialized equipment such as compressors, HVAC components, engine parts, gas handling systems, sensors, and electronics. On the construction side, the scope includes piping, electrical and mechanical services, earthwork, steel, electrical equipment, blowers, chillers, pumps, petroleum products, lubricants, fuels, and plastics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of a procurement system across departments.
  • Develop and manage vendor relationships and performance metrics.
  • Oversee procurement of operational and construction-related materials and equipment.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Engineering, and Project Development teams to align procurement with project timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Resolve supply chain issues and discrepancies efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports for procurement activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in procurement management, preferably in construction or industrial operations.
  • Familiarity with procurement software systems and processes.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and procurement software.
  • Must be proficient in English.
