Located in the greater Redding area, the Mountain Valley Special Education JPA is a consortium of 13 small school districts and one charter school that was created to provide a broader continuum of services for students with disabilities.

Job Summary

Located at Columbia Elementary School, the aide's primary responsibility is to assist with student safety, health and personal care, and to help the student participate in class activities to the maximum extent possible. The aide also helps implement the curriculum for the student under the direction of teacher(s) or principal. Performs related duties as assigned.
Instructional Aide Hiring Incentive: Employee is eligible for a sign-on bonus, for
$1000 distributed as follows:
1. $500 after completing probationary period (130 work days)
2. $500 after completing one year of employment (181 work days)
3. The bonus is for commitment to one year (181 work days) of
employment. If the employee does not complete one year of service (181
work days), they will be required to repay the entire sign-on bonus,
regardless of the reason for separation.

Work days: Monday - Friday 8:00am-2:30pm (6 hours/day, 1/2 hr duty free lunch)
