Wastewater Process Engineer

Your impact:

Work with teams to help lead clients to the correct wastewater treatment approach by utilizing desktop calculations, bench analysis, pilot plant operation, and full-scale operational troubleshooting during conceptual/planning phase. Work with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve successful design of water and wastewater treatment facilities. Provide biological wastewater process modeling, hydraulic modeling, and cost estimation support for planning and design phase projects. Working understanding of conventional and advanced process within the water resource recovery market. This includes experience with liquids stream and solids stream treatment processes. Support business development efforts and help in the pursuit of new projects, as well as work directly with clients on the projects and tasks that you are leading, developing long-term client relationships. Develop technical memoranda, reports, plans, and specifications, and other deliverables. Provide engineering services during construction to review contractor submittals for conformance with contract drawings and specifications. Provide evaluation on requests for information.

Travel: 5-10% of the time. Travel is typically for wastewater treatment site visits to perform high-level assessment of existing equipment, interact with treatment plant staff, and attended client workshops (if any are held on site).

Here's what you'll need:

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or related occupation. In lieu of the requirements listed above, employer will accept a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field and 4 years of work experience in job offered or related occupation.

SPECIFIC SKILLS: SUMO (process modeling software). AFT Fathom (hydraulic modeling software). Alternatives analysis for the planning phases of wastewater treatment plant design projects (including cost estimating, process and technology evaluation and development of the basis of design). BioWin (process modeling software).

The base salary range for this position is $122,450.00 to $130,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
