The impact you will have: As a Custodian, you will manage facility operations, including cleaning and maintenance, in an efficient and safe manner to meet customer needs and support an enriching educational environment for our students, staff, and community. Our Custodians apply best practices to complete duties safely, on time, with a customer service mindset, and in alignment with district standards and procedures. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Performing routine cleaning and maintenance of classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas.
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces to maintain a healthy learning environment.
- Setting up and breaking down furniture, equipment, and spaces for events, meetings, and activities.
- Emptying and disposing of trash and recyclables according to district guidelines.
- Monitoring and reporting maintenance needs such as leaks, damage, or safety hazards.
- Ensuring safe use and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Securing facilities by locking doors, windows, and gates at the end of shifts.
- Collaborating with team members and site staff to support daily operations and respond to service requests promptly.
What you need for this position: - Completion of 12th grade or equivalent
