Environment: Special Education Program, Grades K-12

Regional Assignment: North/Central California - Clovis, San Jose, Pacifica, Fairfield, Redding

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is seeking a dedicated Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our award-winning Special Education team. As a Behavior Analyst, you will transform the lives of students across various Spectrum School locations by providing tailored clinical and educational interventions that cater to each learner's unique needs. You will guide and mentor your team through hands-on training, ensuring quality assurance and the implementation of best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide training and support to educators in developing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Monitor and enhance the quality of academic instruction and behavioral support services to guarantee exceptional outcomes for students.
  • Support staff by modeling effective teaching strategies that align with Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to promote positive academic, social, and emotional outcomes.
  • Manage crisis interventions for students exhibiting challenging behaviors and help reduce the need for intensive 1:1 support.
  • Collaborate with educational teams to collect and analyze student behavior data, ensuring appropriate interventions are applied.
  • Conduct regular quality checks at student, staff, and classroom levels, providing recommendations for improvements based on data analysis.
  • Assist in training on behavioral assessment, intervention, and crisis management for on-site teams.
  • Mentor staff members pursuing BACB certification in alignment with regional goals.
  • Help develop and implement improvement plans for campuses to enhance student performance.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to address behavioral needs and support comprehensive strategies.
  • Ensure all campuses adhere to Department of Education regulations and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and compliance activities.
  • Provide operational support focused on academic achievement, behavioral support, and staff development.
  • Take on additional duties or special projects as necessary to support organizational goals.

Qualifications Required:

  • Master's degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, special education, or a related field.
  • Currently licensed or in the process of obtaining a BCBA credential.
  • Possession of a valid CA state driver's license.
  • Proficient in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and well-versed in PBIS, FBA, and BIP.
  • Experience in special education services, effective teaching strategies, and classroom management.
  • Highly skilled in working with students with severe behavioral and emotional disorders.
  • Proven success in implementing effective intervention plans for diverse student needs.
  • Strong analytical skills for data-based decision making.
  • Advanced communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Familiarity with technology, including Microsoft Office and database entry.
