Account Representative/Sales Representative - Lifemed Pharmacy Services

What You'll Do

  • Be the Connector: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with facility owners, administrators, Directors of Nursing, and other key decision-makers.
  • Stay Proactive: Develop a cadence of regular facility visits and attend business review meetings to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Drive Growth: Identify new business opportunities, execute territory-specific strategies, and represent Lifemed at industry events.
  • Ensure Excellence: Manage expectations, resolve issues, and support onboarding for new facilities.
  • Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with internal teams to deliver seamless service and share market insights.
  • Stay Compliant: Keep up-to-date with healthcare regulations and ensure all activities meet federal, state, and local standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Relationship Management
  • Develop cadence of regular, proactive facility visits
  • Establish and maintain strong professional rapport and relationships with long term care facility decision-makers, including facility owners, administrators, Directors of Nursing, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify key decision makers and build relationships to gain access to all decision makers.
  • Attend and participate in facility business review meetings
  • Identify at-risk accounts and consult with pharmacy leadership to develop action plans to address issues.
  • Manage facility expectations of contractual agreements.
  • Assist Pharmacy Manager and Operations Manager on all contract renewals within assigned time frames.
Record Tracking
  • Track and report all sales activities, customer interactions, and market developments.
  • Prepare and present sales reports to management.
Communication
  • Maintain daily communication with internal pharmacy staff to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of service delivery with customer needs.
  • Collaborate consistently with internal teams to relay customer feedback, resolve service issues, and support continuous improvement in customer satisfaction and operational performance.
  • Actively participate in regular pharmacy and cross-functional team meetings, providing updates on sales activities, market insights, and customer needs to align sales efforts with operational capabilities.
  • Maintain clear, professional, and responsive communication with external stakeholders, including administrators, clinical staff, and decision-makers at long-term care and senior living facilities.
Compliance
  • Ensure all account activities and interactions adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, including company policies and ethical standards governing long-term care and pharmacy services.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, including Title 22, CMS guidelines, and other applicable healthcare compliance standards relevant to long-term care facilities and pharmacy operations.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of pharmacy regulations and facility compliance requirements, proactively applying this knowledge to daily responsibilities and interactions.
  • Participate in ongoing compliance training and support audit readiness by documenting interactions and maintaining accurate records in accordance with regulatory and organizational protocols.
Business Development
  • Develop and execute territory-specific sales strategies that align with company goals.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive sales plan, including activity targets, pipeline tracking, and ongoing assessment of progress toward new business acquisition and retention goals.
  • Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, facility visits, networking, and referral channels to expand Lifemed's base.
  • Educate facility staff and decision-makers on Lifemed's pharmacy services, emphasizing compliance support, clinical value, and operational efficiency.
  • Prioritize accounts and opportunities based on potential profitability, service complexity, referral likelihood, and strategic fit with Lifemed's capabilities and resources.
  • Represent Lifemed at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events, promoting brand visibility and building long-term relationships with influencers and decision-makers.
  • Owns the issue escalation and resolution process. Working directly with key internal partners, achieves timely responses on all issues along with setting proper expectations.
Customer Support
  • Address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of pharmacy products and services, including medications, compliance solutions and specialized care options.
  • Provide expert advice to s on product benefits and usage.
  • Responsible for activities associated in onboarding new facilities such as collection of patient information and medical records. Scheduling, attending, and facilitating staff training. Serving as the point of contact for facility throughout onboarding process.
Other Responsibilities
  • Performs other tasks as assigned
Requirements

Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of management or support tole within a healthcare setting. Long Term Care Pharmacy experience preferred.
Education
  • Strong relatable experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Licensure
  • Valid California Driver's License and clean DMV record required.

Salary Description

$65,000-$79,000/annual base salary
