Location: Richmond, VA 23219 (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 months contract

To drive the successful migration and modernization of the agency applications to the cloud, with a focus on OCI Apex / Web Application Development and also leverage Generative AI to enhance efficiency, agility, and innovation. This role will be instrumental in designing, developing and deploying innovative solutions to transform the agency operations.

Qualified candidate must be able to come to Richmond, VA to pick up laptop.

Job Description:

Cloud Migration & Modernization: Actively participate in and contribute to various cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

Rapid Application Development & Prototyping: Develop and prototype applications and processes based on designs and requirements provided by the System Engineering and Architecture Team (SEAT), incorporating AI/ML capabilities where appropriate.

Database Administration & Support: Assist the Database Administration team with the administration, configuration, and upgrades of Oracle Apex/ORDS and associated databases.

Application Development & Support: Collaborate with development teams to ensure their applications and database architectures adhere to security and audit compliance standards, integrating AI/ML considerations.

Automation & Scripting: Develop and implement scripts and automation tools to streamline cloud operations and improve efficiency, leveraging AI/ML for intelligent automation

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Expert-level proficiency in Low-Code Application Development, with a strong emphasis on Oracle Apex/ORDS.

Proven experience with:

• Oracle Apex/ORDS and Database development/administration
• CI/CD principles and practices within a cloud environment
• Developing web applications using Open-Source technologies (e.g., Python, Node.js)
• Scripting and automation in cloud environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Knowledge and experience with Generative AI technologies and their applications.
• Experience with developing Generative AI applications using NLP, Document Understanding, RAG, AI Agents, or similar techniques.
