Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Phlebotomist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 01/26/2026 Duration: Ongoing Shift: 12 hours, days, evenings, nights Employment Type: Per Diem Job Summary Job Title: Phlebotomist (Per Diem) Facility: Shasta Regional Medical Center (SRMC) Department: Clinical Laboratory Location: Redding, CA Assignment Dates: 01/26/2026 – 07/19/2026 Availability Required: Must be able to work January, February, and March Shifts Available: Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Mid Shift (as needed) Experience Required: Minimum 1 year Employment Type: Per Diem Compensation: Hourly Rate: $37.00 Overtime Rate: $55.50 Weekly Gross (Per Shift): $518 Job Description Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Certified Phlebotomist to support the Clinical Laboratory on a per diem basis. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for specimen collection, patient identification, and maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy in a hospital setting. Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent phlebotomy experience Experience in an acute care or hospital setting preferred Strong patient interaction and customer service skills Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and mid shifts Must be reliable and able to commit to Jan–March coverage Required Credentials & Certifications (California) Active California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT I or CPT II) License National Phlebotomy Certification (e.g., ASCP, NHA, AMT, NCCT) BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA TB Screening Current Immunizations (per hospital policy) About Halcyon Nurse Staffing At Halcyon Nurse Staffing, we specialize in providing top-tier travel, Per diem, and Permanent staffing solutions nationwide.
