The Vitamix Foundation Intern's primary responsibilities will include the development and implementation of the Vitamix Foundation's Strategic Communications Plan. The intern will be responsible for researching, compiling data, stories, and other success metrics for use in the communication plan development and implementation. The intern will serve as a liaison and partner with Vitamix marketing teams for the development of collateral such as storytelling pieces, thought leadership pieces (Press Releases, Reports, and case studies), internal communications, and external Vitamix Foundation marketing (i.e. social media and website content).

In order to provide a broad understanding of the work conducted by the Vitamix Foundation, the Intern will also be responsible for assisting with the following: meetings with current grantees, relationship database updates, background research in preparation for networking meetings, research on best practices and interest area exploration, and builds resources/presentation materials for the Foundation's Board of Directors.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build upon previous reviews and research of strategic communications best practices, including capturing trends/best practices in reporting metrics. The Intern will compile the review into a document for presentation to Vitamix Foundation staff and Vitamix marketing teams, including recommendations for applicable reporting metrics/models for the Vitamix Foundation's Strategic Communications Plan.
  • Research and provide a recommendation on opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Develop content for the 2026 Vitamix Foundation's marketing and communication campaign.
  • Create a functional, long-term workflow for Vitamix Foundation marketing and communications with the support of the Vitamix marketing teams, including essential timelines and identifying key partners.
The ideal candidate will also possess:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • A Junior or Senior student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university) in nutrition/health care/public health related field, or marketing/communications, or a Graduate Student pursuing a Masters of Nonprofit Organizations, Management or Public Administration.
