As a Tree Trimmer Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the beauty and safety of our community's green spaces. This is an excellent opportunity to learn valuable skills in tree care, climb to new heights in your career, and work as part of a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn to trim and remove trees by utilizing ladders, safety equipment, and climbing techniques while adhering to safety protocols.
• Become proficient in using tools to fell trees and cut them into manageable sections.
• Assist in preventing regrowth by treating stumps and brush.
• Participate in loading and unloading trucks with logs and debris, and operate a wood chipper.
• Help repair minor damages to lawns and fences caused during tree trimming operations.
• Follow safety procedures to keep both crew members and the public safe, including setting up necessary barriers and warnings.
• Take part in training new employees on best practices and procedures.
• Maintain tools and equipment in optimal condition and report any issues promptly.
• Work in varying weather conditions and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Participate in ongoing safety training and adhere to all safety regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 months of experience in tree trimming or clearing, or completion of relevant performance reviews.
• A commitment to enforcing safety practices on the job.
• The ability to wear personal protective equipment as required.
• Capable of repeatedly entering and exiting a vehicle throughout the workday.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions, including rain, sun, snow, or cold.
• Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in both written and verbal forms.
• Strong communication skills to represent Wright Tree Service professionally.
• Able to lift and move 50 pounds occasionally and 30 pounds frequently.
• Flexibility to work long hours, overtime, and be on-call during emergencies.
• Proficient in operating and servicing tools and equipment.
• Valid driver's license, with the capability of passing a pre-employment drug test.
• First-Aid and CPR certification must be current.
• Completion and passing of the Climber Trainee Performance Review are required.
