About Meridian Counseling

About the Role

At Meridian Counseling, we believe your career should work for you. We value our clinicians as people and professionals - and we're committed to helping you build a role that aligns with your goals, your schedule, and the type of clinical work you're most passionate about.

This position begins as part-time with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role (minimum 30 hours per week) as your caseload grows.

What We Offer

Supervision and Clinical Growth

  • Weekly individual supervision with a Licensed Psychologist as a paid benefit
  • Group supervision provided as a paid benefit
  • Continuing education opportunities, professional development, and clinical training to support your ongoing growth
Consistent Referrals and Caseload Support
  • Guaranteed insurance-based client referrals - you choose how many based on your financial and professional goals
  • Opportunities to build a private-pay caseload for additional earning potential
Flexibility and Work-Life Balance
  • Choose between hourly or salaried compensation with benefits
  • Set your own schedule and create a workweek that fits your life
  • Bonus pay opportunities through our private-pay incentive program
Work Environment Options
  • See clients in person at our beautiful Los Angeles office
  • Or work remotely from the comfort of your home - whatever works best for you
Community and Collaboration
  • Monthly team consultations to connect, collaborate, and receive clinical support
  • Regular team events such as trainings, workshops, hikes, volleyball, and game nights- because community and connection are central to our work
Administrative Support
  • We handle billing, credentialing, marketing, and client referrals
  • Your focus stays where it matters most: seeing clients and maintaining progress notes
This role is ideal for clincians seeking the independence of private practice combined with the stability, support, and collaboration of a group setting. If you're passionate about clinical work but want to avoid the administrative and operational challenges of running a practice, this is the perfect fit.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field
  • Proof of current enrollment or transcripts/graduated from an accredited PhD or PsyD program for Clinical Psychology.
  • Registered as a Psychological Associate with the California Board of Psychology, or eligible to register within two months of signing an offer letter
  • Board approval must be obtained prior to beginning supervision (providing services without approval is considered an unlicensed practice)
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week
  • Attendance at all required training and supervision sessions
  • Eligibility to become credentialed with insurance panels
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with trauma, mood disorders, addiction, families, or couples
  • Comfort with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Training in CBT, DBT, ACT, or EMDR is preferred but not required
