As a Wastewater Treatment Operator, you will play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of our wastewater treatment facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct quality control testing and analyses.
  • Compile detailed reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures.
  • Diagnose operating issues and make necessary adjustments to optimize treatment processes.
  • Monitor flow rates, sludge processing, and effluent treatment.
  • Collect samples and keep shift logs up-to-date.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Prioritize safety and well-being for yourself and your team.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain an Operator Certification within one year of hire.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry in a maintenance management system.
  • Valid driver's license.

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

  • Experience working towards or holding an intermediate to advanced level wastewater treatment certification.
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment plant operations, including familiarity with valves, pumps, and motors.
  • An understanding of safe work practices.

Work environments may be indoor or outdoor with exposure to loud noise, active machinery, high-pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights, fumes, airborne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. Use of appropriate safety equipment is mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous exposure.
