Your new role...

The Media Asset Manager will function in a variety of capacities for the HBOMax
Marketing Operations team at Warner Brothers Discovery. We are looking for
an individual who understands creative workflows and can be embedded with
both show post teams and Marketing producers and excel in both worlds. The
qualified candidate will have a creative background as well as a thorough
technical understanding of the applications and tools that are utilized in our
industry. Ideal candidates will have experience with digital cinema cameras,
video file types, Avid Media Composer/Adobe CC Ingest and Export, execution of
media workflows, and general post production applications. Adobe Experience
Manager Assets and other Media Asset Management systems are a plus.

The manager will oversee specialists who execute a variety of daily tasks and
responsibilities across the media team. All Specialists execute media ingest,
export, transcoding, and delivery workflows and work closely with our show
post production teams around the globe. In addition, some individuals will work
more closely with creative partners focusing on marketing campaign media
workflow while others will focus on production technology, automation,
maintaining the health of our virtual production ecosystem, and troubleshooting
complex media problems. Tasks are assigned based on a combination of
skillsets and team needs. Managers should be able to provide expertise and
guidance in all areas, mentorship of team members, and set policies and
procedures as new situations arise.

In addition to an in-depth knowledge of post-production workflows, the
qualified candidate will also be well versed in project management systems
(Monday.com, Asana, Airtable, etc.), transcoding/encoding, frame rate
conversions, color grading, and file delivery systems. Experience with emerging
formats and next gen file types and technologies preferred. Good attention to
detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines is
crucial.

Your Role Accountabilities...
• Oversee Specialists responsible for evaluation, ingest, and delivery digital media assets into and out of our centralized Avid Nexis / Interplay environment.

• Acquire media from show Post Production teams, Media Asset Management databases, and partners across the company via various delivery platforms. Perform visual and audio quality control evaluations for ingested digital media and completed assets.

• Troubleshoot media and application issues for Marketing production clients and editors in a fast-paced editorial environment.

Qualifications & Experience...
• Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Communications / TV / Film
• A minimum of 4 years work experience in a Post-Production / Media Management environment.
• A minimum of 2 years managerial experience in the Media Industry.
• Functional working experience with Avid Media Composer, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Functional knowledge of file encoding/transcoding and delivery systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and written skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to juggle many projects at once and remain organized and professional.
• Customer service attitude willing to go "above and beyond" to ensure successful outcomes for our producers and shows.
• Willing to sign an NDA and keep confidential material secret and secure.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $72,240.00 - $134,160.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
