Located in the greater Redding area, the Mountain Valley Special Education JPA is a consortium of 13 small school districts and one charter school that was created to provide a broader continuum of services for students with disabilities.

Job Summary

Works under the direction and supervision of the Speech-Language Pathologist, completes a variety of tasks such as, but not limited to activities designed to develop pre-language and language skills, oral-motor control for speech production, vocalization, and use of assistive technology devices for communication. The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant works with students who have identified speech and language disorders as well as other disabilities.

Credit for all years of school experience for placement on salary schedule

Work Hours: 8 hours per day with 30 minute lunch; generally 7:30am - 4:00pm depending on site
