Compensation: USD 85,000 – USD 110,000 per year

We are looking for a Protection and Controls Engineer to support our growing Energy Business Line's Engineering Center of Excellence in Power Delivery programs, projects and pursuits. The role can be remote located in the U.S. or hybrid out of any of our U.S. offices.

Responsibilities:

Electrical engineering design work on assigned projects

Work with Project Engineer and Project Manager on developing design schedules and budgets for electrical engineering activities

Perform power system studies and system protection settings coordination on various projects

Generate basis of design documentation for protection settings and relay configurations

Support projects during construction, start‑up, and commissioning

Occasional travel to client and/or project sites for data gathering and field walks

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience

2+ years of protection and controls experience in electrical engineering

Preferred: EIT, knowledge of FERC and NERC requirements, experience with IEC61850, remote team collaboration, commissioning field experience, power systems analysis software (SKM, EasyPower, Etap), collaborative 3D model environments (e.g., Navisworks)
