Position: Director of Food & Beverage Reports to: District General Manager of Food & Beverage. FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt.Location Ontario Convention Center | Ontario, CaliforniaCompensation $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus comprehensive benefits.Position Description The Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management of all food and beverage operations at Ontario Convention Center. This role oversees concessions, premium hospitality, suites, catering, and special event operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and financial performance.Essential Responsibilities Review, approve, and monitor budgets, making recommendations for adjustments.Analyze food sales, attendance, and labor data to maintain cost control and operational efficiency.Oversee food and beverage sales projections and budget performance for all assigned events and accounts.Ensure high standards of guest service and client satisfaction during all events.Develop and implement operational standards across all food and beverage operations.Support new business development initiatives by identifying opportunities for new clients, contracts, permits, and partnerships.Direct growth of food and beverage accounts by promoting services to new and existing clients.Collaborate with finance and support teams to ensure operational alignment and compliance with company policies.Maintain cost and quality control standards and ensure all facilities and equipment meet state and local health regulations.Lead operational planning for events and conduct post‑event financial and operational reviews.Experience, Training & Education Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Food & Beverage Management, or related field preferred.Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in food and beverage operations within a large venue, arena, convention center, or hospitality environment.Experience with budgeting, financial forecasting, labor management, and operational planning.Experience with vendor management, purchasing procedures, and contract negotiations preferred.Experience working in union environments is a plus.License / Certificate Required Serv Safe / Food Handler Certification (required within 30 days of hire).Skills & Competencies Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work with minimal supervision and interact with all levels of staff and customers, including management.Detail oriented and organized, with strong planning skills.Positive motivation and teamwork orientation with a focus on ownership and initiative.Energetic, self‑disciplined, and proactive in delivering exceptional guest service.Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, as well as normal business hours.Physical & Environmental Requirements Pushing and pulling doors open, lifting, stooping, bending and lifting at least 50 lbs.Walking for long distances for more than 50% of workday.May require work inside or outside the building during events; employees may be scheduled to work until 12:00 am or later.Must be able to pass background check and follow safety guidelines.Equal Opportunity Statement Legends Global is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer, and encourages women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and protected veterans to apply.
