This position is not remote and will require living in the commutable Anderson area.About the PositionDesign structures and foundations for sawmill, kiln, cogeneration, and planermill equipment and buildingsDevelop and improve lumber processing equipmentPrepare plans, drawings, and calculations that will be submitted to county, city, or other governing bodiesFacilitate the smooth and quick approval of plansEffectively model detailed concepts and designs using 3D modeling softwareProvide leadership and direction to fabricators, assemblers, machinists, and shop personnelCollaborate with company operations to understand complete application and needsCoordinate activities relative to the development of new equipmentLearn and take on engineering projects with a mechanical emphasis when structural emphasis is not neededWork to continuously learn and improve knowledge of industry and equipmentQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural4 years' experience in structural with familiarity with wood, steel, masonry and concrete buildings including structural calculation, foundation design, detailing and construction administrationCalifornia P.E. or S.E. license with ability to get reciprocity in Oregon and WashingtonDemonstrated experience with AutoCAD and willingness to learn SolidWorksKnowledge of the structural provisions of the California Building Code, IBC, and ASCE 7Working knowledge of structural steel, welding, and foundation designFamiliarity with Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft ExcelDemonstrated ability to contribute creative solutions and succeed in an innovative environmentStrong problem‑solving, multi‑tasking, and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWhy Join Our Team?Because this is more than an invitation, it's a commitment to offer opportunities for personal and professional growth to everyone!
