The company is dedicated to helping people find work and to making a difference in local communities like Redding, CA.Position Info The client is hiring a Resident Manager for a 78‑unit affordable housing community. The position includes a 2‑bedroom on‑site unit as part of the compensation. Hours are typically 10 per week, with additional hours compensated at $22.00–$24.00 per hour based on experience.The Resident Manager is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of the property.Key Responsibilities Maintain trash rooms, trash chutes, and dumpster areas; move trash dumpsters to the curb for pickup several times a week.Empty dog relief stations and remove trash and litter from exterior of the building and sidewalks daily.Perform small handyman repairs in units and common areas (e.g., minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance fixes within scope).Conduct routine inspections of units and common areas, reporting any issues requiring additional attention.Clean and maintain common areas including hallways, lobbies, laundry rooms, and outdoor grounds.Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.Monitor building systems and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or repair needs.Support the property management team with special projects as assigned.Qualifications Previous maintenance or handyman experience, especially in residential or multifamily housing.Ability to safely operate basic tools and cleaning equipment.General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry is a plus.Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.Positive, self‑motivated, and customer‑service oriented.Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical work such as bending, climbing, and carrying.Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.Schedule Full‑time or part‑time schedule depending on property needs.Flexibility to assist with occasional after‑hours emergencies is preferred.Compensation Competitive hourly wage based on experience.Benefits may be available depending on position status (full‑time/part‑time).What We're Looking For Must live on‑site (a 2‑bedroom unit is part of the compensation package).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail‑oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.Comfortable working with a wide range of personalities.Self‑starter who can take initiative while also following directions.Basic computer skills and the ability to use email daily.Ability to stay organized and manage light but varied responsibilities.Resident management experience preferred but not required.About You You are attentive, responsive, and able to take control of situations.
