Our more than 6,000 employees are proud to work at our state‑of‑the‑art sawmills and other facilities, including manufacturing, custom wood‑framed windows, fabrication, millwork, veneer, cogeneration, trucking, forestry, and other operations.Currently, we are seeking a qualified Millwright / Maintenance Technician to work collaboratively with our sawmill in Shasta Lake, California.About the Position Maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facilityTroubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsDismantle machinery and equipment, locate cause of malfunctioning or mechanical breakdown, replace parts from stock or fabricate replacement parts as neededFabricate machine components for repairs and improvements of mechanical devicesEffectively conduct and assess diagnostic tests to ensure optimum system functionalityAssemble, install, and proactively maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for efficient operationOperate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, forklift, and welding truckFabricate, weld, mill, and lathe as neededPerform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work areaWork may consist of various shifts and overtime including weekends and holidays during busy production timesQualifications 2 years' recent verifiable related work history or equivalent educationProficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairsWorking knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearingsAbility to recognize, report, and repair mechanical defectsIndustrial mill maintenance experience is a plusWhy Join Our Team?
