This position is designed for a driver who resides in the Redding area and will begin each shift in Redding, travel to our Sacramento facility to pick up a load, and then return to Redding to complete the route. The role focuses primarily on a transfer route between facilities with little to no customer deliveries, offering steady miles and a consistent routine. Enjoy the stability of a full-time position with consecutive days off, all while helping ensure fresh, high-quality produce is ready for distribution to restaurants, schools, and communities by morning.Benefits Annual IncentivesComprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance401(k) Plan, Employee Assistance ProgramPaid Sick Leave, Holidays, and VacationEmployee Discount ProgramEmployee Recognition and EventsKey Commercial Night Driver Job Responsibilities Schedule: Full time, Sunday/Monday/Tuesday/WednesdayThursday work week, 6PM - 2:30AM, overnight position.Transfer & Delivery: Transfer product from Redding yard to our Sacramento facility & make a few deliveries on the way back.Order Verification & Documentation: Check, verify, and record delivery information and maintain accurate sales records.Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring products are handled and stored properly.Problem Resolution: Coordinate with office staff to resolve delivery or service issues promptly.Returns: Collect returns, empty containers, or unsold items as needed.Vehicle Maintenance: Clean truck interiors, perform routine inspections, and complete minor maintenance tasks to ensure safe operation.Qualifications Age (Required): Must be at least 21 years of age.Licensing (Required): Valid California Class A Commercial Driver License with air brake endorsement and no interstate restrictions. Must have a driving record that meets company and DOT standards (i.e. no DUIs, etc.).Experience: At least 1 year of commercial driving experience required, experience traveling in snow/using chains preferred. Prior work in produce/food distribution is a plus.Navigation Skills: Able to read maps, follow routes, and make timely deliveries.Technology: Comfortable using smartphones or delivery apps for routing and communication.Communication: Basic English reading, writing, and speaking skills.Physical Demands Regularly lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.Sit for long periods of time, while driving, stoop, stand, kneel, crouch, push and pull.Possess vision abilities to include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.Ability to hear.*This job description outlines the primary duties and qualifications for this position.
