Certified Home Health Aide

You are a Certified Home Health Aide in California who is interested in working with an interdisciplinary team of health professionals helping individuals that have transitioned from a hospital to home care setting and assisting them to remain in the community. You enjoy helping clients achieve their personal goals of remaining in the community. Note* This is not a position for Caregivers, or Registry Aides. We are accepting applications from Certified Home Health Aides who have completed training as a Home Health Aide and received the necessary license issued from the State of California.

Responsibilities:

• Assists patient with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation, and other activities as needed
• Performs duties as assigned in an accurate and timely manner
• Notifies the office of any abnormal findings or conditions

Experience Required:

• Patient-interaction skills
• Experience with ADLs
• Experience with Hoyer Lifts
• Ability to multi-task and perform duties in a timely and orderly manner

Essential Requirements:

• Completed an approved Home Health Aide training course and received Certification as Home Health Aide from the State of California
• Valid California Driver's License
• Eligible to be insured under our liability policy with a clean DMV report
• Reliable transportation
• Proof of current auto insurance
• Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray
• Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check
• Current CPR certification

PPE is provided to all employees

Service Region/ Location: This is not a remote role and requires you to work reporting to our client's homes in Redding and surrounding counties.

Schedule : Part-time or Per-Diem work - Ranges from 2-29 hours per week, hours may vary. Strong possibility of full-time work in the next 90 to 180 days.

Travel : You will need to travel to client's homes within the Redding area and surrounding counties.

Physical Requirements: Conditional upon job offer is successfully passing a medical exam that tests amongst other things the ability to move, visual acuity, and hearing acuity. Physical requirements for this role specifically include:

• Sits, stands, bends, lifts, walks, and moves intermittently during working hours
• Able to lift to 50 pounds without assistance
• Able to drive intermittently

Compensation:

$23.00 - $25.00 / hour.

• You will be reimbursed for the mileage you travel in your own vehicle from the office to participant's homes.

• You will receive a monthly phone stipend.

For full-time employees:

• We offer 401(k) matching up to 4% after 1 year of employment and 1,000 hours worked.

Leave accrues starting on your first day of employment, and you can take paid vacation, sick and holiday leave after 90 days.
