QA Specialist (TEMPORARY)

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support by preparing travelers for assignments which include all Homeland Security, HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission, Facility and Travel Nurse across America (TNAA) rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Here's What You'll Be Doing

  • Assist current and prospective travelers with obtaining, renewing or reinstating licensure to include assistance with CEU's as applicable
  • Assist current and prospective travelers in obtaining credentials such as certifications, health documents, facility specific forms, etc.
  • Prepare current and prospective traveler personnel files for placement at client Facilities to include clear communication regarding "assignment at risk" items as they impact targeted start dates
  • Ensure all TNAA and Facility health and background screening, license, credential and testing requirements are acquired and maintained for and throughout the assignment
  • Verify with facility that requirements are correct and update TAMS as needed to reflect any changes/updates
  • Maintain state licensing files based upon assigned region
  • Ensure TNAA Fast Start policy is met regarding: timeliness of response to request and communication with all parties
  • Achieve 95% average monthly audit score on 5 traveler files, month over month and complete peer audits as assigned
  • Review new traveler contracts; verify requirements and maintain/update requirements lists for assigned region
  • Obtain reporting instructions and orientation information for all travelers
  • Assist in the maintenance of supply items necessary for preparing a traveler for an assignment (e.g., chain of custody forms, fingerprint forms, state license applications, etc.)

Here's What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of related experience and/or training
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced and complex environment, maintaining a sense of urgency
  • Ability to take direction and work independently in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and high level of comfort communicating with employees across functional areas
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with occupational health
  • Ability to work with others to quickly resolve or escalate problems

Compensation

$22.00-26.00 per hour depending on experience
