The Personnel Assistant - Confidential is a key support role in HR. Personnel Assistants are frequently a first point of contact for employees and job candidates, providing administrative support to assigned programs, and utilizing various HR systems to implement and support activities such as recruitment, onboarding, training, benefits administration, personnel changes.
As a Personnel Assistant Confidential I/II, you will join a collaborative team and play a crucial role in supporting the County's Departments and programs, providing jobs to our community members, and ensuring a positive employee onboarding experience. With your skills in organization, communication, and problem-solving, you will directly support the County's efforts to attract and retain talented, qualified employees who positively impact the services provided to the County as a whole.

Who We Are Looking For
Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possess strong organization skills, and able to work with a high degree of accuracy and reliability while juggling multiple priorities in a high-volume work environment; possesses exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication, and works successfully with team members and employees at all levels of the organization; understands the importance of building and maintaining strong organizational relationships, is collaborative; works with integrity, can successfully utilize computer software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; can quickly become proficient in new and department specific computer programs and systems; and possess an ability to exercise responsibility, initiative, and independent analysis and judgment.
