We are currently hiring talented Field Network Engineers that have a passion and drive to be the best at what they do.

Responsibilities of the Field Network Engineer position include:

  • Provide onsite support and troubleshooting of client networks.
  • Design, upgrade and continual maintenance of client networks.
  • Timely diagnosis of, response to and resolution of client support cases, both onsite and remote.
  • Handling high pressure situations with a high degree of professionalism and a calm attitude.
  • Analysis of networks and recommendations for improvements. This includes firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless networks.
  • Documentation of all work done for clients. This includes working in a ticketing system and also to develop documentation for clients as part of the network assessment process.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 Years experience working as a network engineer or network administrator
  • Experience working with firewalls, L2/L3 switches, routers, and wireless networks
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, LDAP, DNS, VOIP, VPN’s and Network Security.
  • Experience with desktop support and network troubleshooting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Preferred: Cisco, Aruba, and/or Ruckus networking certifications
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to perform after hours or weekend work related to customer’s environment and only when necessary
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply them in real world scenarios

This position requires travel in the greater Northern California area.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $90,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • network engineer or network administrator: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Cisco, Aruba, and/or Ruckus networking certification (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Required)
